Community Guidelines

This page outlines the community guidelines for Delphi and sets the tone for how members should interact with each-other. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members.

Community Purpose

Delphi exists to bring women together in a safe and supportive space where they can connect, share experiences, and find friendly, secure flatshares. It is a place to share stories, get advice, and meet like-minded women-whether someone is looking for a new home, new friends, or simply a sense of belonging. Every member should feel comfortable, respected, and free to be themselves here.

Core Values

Kindness and empathy guide everything we do. We respect everyone's individuality and embrace the diversity of backgrounds and experiences that make our community vibrant. We encourage positivity and support over criticism or negativity. Every member is expected to act with integrity, take responsibility for their contributions, and maintain confidentiality and trust within discussions.

Respectful Communication

Communication within Delphi should always be thoughtful and courteous, even when opinions differ. Members should express themselves respectfully and avoid rude, aggressive, or dismissive language. No one should be shamed or belittled for their personal choices, perspectives, or identities. Listening with openness and curiosity is encouraged, and it is best to assume good intent in all interactions unless there is a clear reason not to.

Inclusivity and Diversity

Our community welcomes women from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. Discrimination, exclusion, or bias based on race, religion, age, sexuality, ability, nationality, or socioeconomic status is never tolerated. Members are encouraged to use inclusive language and avoid making assumptions about other people's experiences, identities, or circumstances.

When we refer to this as a women's community, we mean everyone who identifies as a woman, regardless of the sex they were assigned at birth. This includes cisgender, transgender, and non-binary people who identify with womanhood. Everyone who feels aligned with this identity is welcome and respected here.

Privacy and Safety

Privacy and safety are central to the Delphi's values. Members should never share another person's private stories, contact details, or images outside of the group. When organizing or attending events, everyone should prioritize safety by choosing public places and communicating clearly about event details. Any form of harassment, bullying, or inappropriate behavior should be reported to the moderation team immediately.

Content and Posting Guidelines

Posts and discussions should align with the purpose of this community: connection, support, and positive conversation. Members should avoid spamming, self-promotion, or advertising unless permission is given by community moderators. Sensitive subjects are welcome when approached thoughtfully, and clear content warnings should be used when needed. Shared resources or information should be accurate, trustworthy, and considerate.

Conflict Resolution

Conflicts may sometimes happen, but they should be handled calmly and respectfully. Whenever possible, disagreements should be addressed privately and directly. Members should avoid public arguments, gossip, or negative commentary about others. If an issue cannot be resolved privately, the moderators are available to offer guidance, mediate, or take appropriate action to protect the wellbeing of everyone involved.

Events and Meetups

Community events and meetups are opportunities for connection and friendship. All members should participate respectfully, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and included. RSVPs should be made thoughtfully, and members are encouraged to communicate early if they can no longer attend. Event organizers and venues should always be treated with respect, and everyone should help create a warm and positive atmosphere.

Moderation and Enforcement

Moderators are here to help the community stay safe, constructive, and enjoyable for everyone. If a member's behavior or content violates these guidelines, moderators may remove posts, issue a warning, or in some cases, remove the member from the community. Appeals or concerns can always be raised respectfully with the moderation team for review and discussion.

Final Note

This community thrives when its members support and uplift one another. Every person plays an important part in shaping the atmosphere here. By leading with kindness, openness, and respect, we can continue to make this a place where women feel safe, connected, and inspired-whether they are finding a new flatshare or meaningful new friendships.
